It's a nice day for a RUSTIC DIY wedding

Soooooo my bestie from high school got MARRIED!! I was honored to be a bridesmaid and LOOOOVED helping with all the fun details! (ps she's SUPER crafty! follow her here
Anywhoooooo..... for her dessert table everyone brought a dish or something yummy. I know its not really "baking" but i had ALOT to do that week (definitely not as much as the MOH... holllaaaaa Claire!) So, I contributed chocolate and vanilla covered grahams. Still yummy and so fast to make!

~~Melt whatever flavor of almond bark (i use a ziplock for easy clean-up)  cut a corner off the end and drizzle away! ~~

I LOOOOOVE Birthdays!!!

Ok, so every birthday my kids have, I start brainstorming months ahead of time! Heres a few of my favorite ones ;)

My youngest sons 1st birthday was Nightmare Before Christmas theme:

**chocolate covered nutter butters for bones**
(and for some reason I didn't get a good picture of the chocolate covered Oreos to the left made to look like full moons)

TOY STORY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

AAAAAANNNNNNND.... my good friend asked me to recently make cake balls for her sons birthday (DUH! Why would I say no to good quality time with my kitchen??)
300 cake balls? sure! Wait, in between laundry, and cleaning, and cooking, and taking my kids out to play? No problem!!!!

**Vanilla with vanilla almond bark**

**yellow butter cake with
chocolate almond bark**
<---------------

** Chocolate cake with melted andes mint topping** ---->

Just Because.....

I have this crazy idea that baking relieves stress.... So every now and then, I just start making huge mess in my kitchen (maybe its my OCD and my need to clean so I make a big mess) ?? Either way, my neighbors and family LOVE it!

Reese peanut butter cupcakes!

Chocolate cake/whipped cream cheese/fresh strawberry

Happy Valentines! <3

Who doesn't like rocky road?? AND in cupcake form??? Chocolate cupcake, marshmallow frosting, and chocolate chips with almond flakes! Possibly my favorite so far.

Going to be honest here, no idea why/when I made these... but i remember HATING those sprinkles! I found them everywhere for days!!!!!!!

Mickey mouse snickerdoodles! My kids definitely go a kick out of these ;)

And last but not least (my favorite when in cake ball form) yellow butter cake with chocolate frosting

40 years of marriage!

Congrats to my in laws! 40 years of marriage and I got to surprise them with my very first cake with home made marshmallow fondant!!! (insert annoying squeal here) I was super nervous and almost backed out at the last minute BUT I'm so happy I didn't!!!! It was filled with almond whipped cream and fresh fruit...

Normally when I'm baking I have my sister around. First, she keeps my kids in line and out of the kitchen.... second, she provides some pretty funny entertainment and without her I wouldn't have these precious moments forever saved on camera to share with all of you. :)

AND..... (as my 2yr old says) TAAA-DAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
My very first fancy-pants cake!!

Add in extra cupcakes (chocolate with whipped cream frosting and vanilla cake with strawberry cream cheese frosting)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!

Since I'm basically cramming the last few years of baking into a new blog, I decided I'd squeeze in the last two Father's days as well. ;) Last year, I made a cookie and cream cake with whipped cream frosting and Oreo crumbles. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, for breakfast I made the famous monkey bread (reserved for special occasions.... or any day I feel like doubling my calorie intake)

Of course I couldn't leave out dessert! Enter chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter whipped frosting and chocolate almond bark drizzled on top.

I'd like to nominate ME for best wife award.... anyone want to second that? Anyone? ;)

Candyland for my niece

My niece was turning 2 and I JUMPED at the opportunity to bake for this special girls party. We needed something fun, colorful, and small enough for kiddie hands. Cupcakes were obvious, but I wanted to do cake balls and chocolate dipped pretzels as well. Super easy and a major hit!
